Back on the road!

What a winter we had in Vermont! Lot’s of family visits and a pretty good snow year. We stayed in VT this winter and I worked at Timber Creek Cross Country and Jeff did his regular day job and played some gigs around the Mount Snow area. I wanted to put up a photo blog post about our winter but never got around to it so I'll do it now.

Brook's trying to get the Christmas ham at my sister-in-law Marcy’s house.
Luckily, I caught her so I could take a photo :).
We drove home from my parents house on Christmas night so we could get some xc skiing in the next day. We needed to burn some calories after feasting for 2 days!

Brook's not really sure about the new year.

We had a big group up at the house for New Years and this was Team Flannel.
True VT attire!

Brook and my niece enjoying a snack together.

I worked this winter back at Timber Creek Cross County and got to ski a bunch.
It was always great when Jeff came up to ski.
Leave it to him to wear his hunting orange hat skate skiing.

My mother-in-law got a puppy! Brook isn’t so stoked but tolerates him.
A great ski date with friends on the Catamount Trail before the Patriots win another Super Bowl!
Go Pats!
Jeff sewing up new cushions for the rv dinette. He’s a good sower!

Our neighbors from the marina surprised Jeff at one of his gigs this winter.
We had such an awesome time and Mike sang!
We had a few awesome days of snowboarding this winter.

An unexpected visit from Justin and Bryon was fun.
Jeff put Justin to work splitting wood.
My niece having a fun day riding around the xc ski center and she made a new friend.
I love it when she comes to visit!
Silly animals getting the bed ready for our next guests!
Laya’s favorite winter spot is right by the fire in her basket.

We had an early thaw at the end of February and I was able to get a paddle in on one of my days off
with a good group of friends.
(West River in VT)
The weather then went back to full on winter for the rest of March so I only paddled twice :(.

We are now on our road trip!
We left a couple days earlier than what we wanted because of a late season snow storm in VT on April 1st.
April Fool's my a$$!
Our first stop on the trip was in GA to visit with Jeff’s uncle Lou and aunt Barb. We had a really nice weekend just relaxing at the house and spending time with them since we only see them once a year.
Brook in the front cab of the rv sleeping on the ride.
We headed out of GA and onto our next sop in Alabama to meet up with friends at their family lake house in Wedowee.
We had a great time and finally got on some water and it was hot!
Brook is also stoked to be back on the water!
Jeff getting some work done at our new dinette that he built this winter.

Laya love's her new cave under the chair of the dinette.

Jeff's work station while I drive.
The deal is when we are traveling during the week I drive so he can work.
We stopped at Lake Clairbourne in Lousiana to take a break from driving and I got a flatwater paddle in.
Jeff and my uncle Robert on a hike in Sabino Canyon.

We are currently in AZ visiting with my uncle Robert and Jeff has a team meeting at the office in Mesa.

We haven’t done any whitewater yet but soon we will be paddling in CA, NV, WA, OR, ID, WY, and CO. It’s going to be amazing!

Till next time,

Elaine Campbell
